Why does my basket fail to download properly?

If you have tried several times and the main tabular dataset always arrives with errors, please talk to your institutional IT team. There may be a site download size limit. If they cannot help, then you could consider these options: 

  • Requesting a smaller basket. Only one basket can be requested at a time, and you need to wait for the notification email of the previous basket before you can request the next basket. Note, a proxy server is not suitable.
  • Check the Data Access Guide, including the troubleshooting guide in Appendix A.
  • Consider using the UK Biobank Research Analysis Platform instead of downloading a basket.
