Is there a way to change file permissions in a DNANexus project (i.e. a dx equivalent of chmod)? For example, I'd like to make it so a particular file cannot be deleted.

The permission setting can be done only at the project level, not at the individual file level. However, there is a way around it though. I recommend two approaches here: back up important files and modify permission of contributors.

    1. Because storage of each file on all DNAnexus systems (including UKB-RAP) is charged only once per billing account, you can back up files in separate projects that only a few people would have access to without having to pay extra. You can create a new project with the same UKB application and billing, and copy those important files over there.
    2. By default, the contributor would be able to delete the file. This option could be changed in the settings tab to restrict everyone from removing the file except the admin.

You can mix and match the two approaches depending on the use cases.
