Inquiries for a more detailed list of authors from different institution

Yongzhuang Liu

1)Taking into account that the parsing of certain data types, such as image data, necessitates collaboration with external institutions, I would like to inquire whether it is imperative to first include personnel from these institutions in our list of collaborators when they are designated as co-first authors or co-corresponding authors on the project proposal submitted by our PI.

2)Furthermore, if the PI of another institution is included as a collaborator, would the other members of their institution, based on their respective levels of contribution, be listed as co-first authors without necessarily being listed as additional collaborators?

    Dear Yongzhuang Liu

Thanks for your post on the UK Biobank Community Forum.

The researchers who will be accessing UK Biobank data must be registered and named as a collaborator on the application in AMS.

If other researchers assisted with the research but did not access UK Biobank data it is fine for them to be named as an author on a publication and not be named as a collaborator in AMS.

For further information on publications, please see the Publication Submissions section on this page of our website: https://www.ukbiobank.ac.uk/enable-your-research/manage-your-project

    Kind regards,

    Matt
