Complete microsatellites / STRs

Mahdi Moqri

It seems both STRs and microsatellete data only contained a small fraction (~100 per subject).

These papers mention that the complete set is available on the platform but I am not able to find them : https://biobank.ndph.ox.ac.uk/ukb/search.cgi?wot=1&srch=Microsatellites

Could you please point me to the right direction?

    Thank you for reaching out. The microsatellite data can be found on the UKB-RAP by navigating to your UKB-RAP project and then to “Bulk/Previous WGS releases/GATK and GraphTyper WGS/Microsatellites [150k release]/”. This folder has 108,364 items containing microsatellite data generated using a specially optimised tool (popSTR) for microsatellite (STR) marker calling in whole-genome sequencing studies. This dataset includes pVCF files featuring STR marker calls for 150,119 participants.
