Return Data

Morning all,

For my current research project, I need access to a returned dataset. This dataset doesn't show in the returns catalogue, but I have spoken to the researchers and they confirmed that they have returned the data in late 2023. 

Firstly, are there likely to be 'new' returns released soon? Secondly, is there any update on how we can access return data now we are only on the RAP?

If it's not going to be soon - are we still able to download returned data from AMS using ukblink, and then upload it to our projects?

    Sorry I took so long to reply!

    I've not figured out how to do this yet - even with the researchers that provided the data involved and asking the UKB staff if they can do anything to help. Have you had any success yet?

    Hi Jay,

    There are a few more posts on this topic. Someone a few months ago asked saying lack of return datasets was holding up PhDs. He got UKB's stock answer, namely that return datasets were not available either for download or in the RAP and they were working on it.

    I also asked, I got UKB's stock answer. I appealed and my appeal got passed up to some higher people, but their reply was still that they were working on it.
