UKB-RAP: update on phased re-opening of access Pinned Featured

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to update you on our current expectations for the re-opening of access to the UK Biobank Research Analysis Platform (UKB-RAP).

We have completed the work required to ensure that the UKB-RAP is secure. The providers of health outcome data will review an independent assessment of its security prior to agreeing to allow us to make their data available to researchers again. Consequently, whilst there has been positive progress, we do not now anticipate that re-opening access will start before October.

In parallel, we have made good progress with receiving confirmation of the deletion of data that were provided previously as downloads for projects that have now ended. Phased access to the UKB-RAP will start for those researchers at institutions where data deletion has been confirmed for all such projects.

I should like to thank you for your support with completing UK Biobank’s transition from the previous data download access model towards more secure access for research within the UKB-RAP. I shall be back in touch with you as soon as I have more definite information about re-opening access.
