Freesurfer data output
Hi there,
I was wondering if there are any datafield related to segmentation and cortical surfaces (white and pial) produced by Free surfer or by the HCP workbench ? If yes, what's the ID of the datafield ?
Thanks,
Baptiste

There are some cortical surfaces bulk fields in preparation. These should be available on the RAP after the next update, expected to be Summer 2024. See the Future Timelines page, https://www.ukbiobank.ac.uk/enable-your-research/about-our-data/future-data-release-timelines
For details of the new fields, see Category 198 on Showcase, https://biobank.ndph.ox.ac.uk/showcase/label.cgi?id=198 .
It is expected that 16 related image-derived-phenotype surfaces fields will also be made available, in the same category, but they are not yet visible.
Hi both - a few points of clarification:
Not sure if Baptiste was asking about the original *structural* FreeSurfer outputs (ie the original cortical surface estimation), or the more recently-added HCP-style cortical modelling of the fMRI data. The former has been available for a long time in Showcase (and I assume on RAP) - see
https://biobank.ndph.ox.ac.uk/showcase/field.cgi?id=20263
Both kinds of FreeSurfer bulk files are AFAIK already available for download from Showcase, but I think Rachael is saying the fMRI ones are not quite yet available on RAP. Not sure which access mechanism Baptiste was asking about.
Hope this helps,
Steve.
Thanks Steve, sorry, I get confused about all the different kinds of imaging files. I confirm that there are some 20263 bulk files already on the RAP (I can see them, in Bulk > Brain MRI > T1 >10).
Any files in the RAP will be listed in Showcase, see Imaging Category 100003 and sub-categories for the full set.
Any fields with a Showcase Debut date later than the latest RAP version date (currently Nov 30th 2023) will not be available on the RAP yet.
… and I forgot the Showcase link: https://biobank.ndph.ox.ac.uk/showcase/label.cgi?id=100003
Hello both,
Thanks for your feedback.
Stephen was right, he gave me the link to the data I was looking for.
And thanks Rachael too, this link might be useful later !
