Any new information compute credits? Answered
Has anyone been able to get information from UKB on exceptions to the download ban or widening access to the RAP compute credits? They have suggested that that they may consider exceptions or that they will provide wider access to the compute credits scheme. However, it has been two months now since the local download route has closed and I cannot get them to answer an email. I appreciate that their may be many inquiries like this to field, but has anyone received information about this? My team can't be the only ones whose budget holders are not pleased to hear about the unbudgeted compute costs.

Dear Michel,
Thanks for your post.
Information regarding the process for requesting an exemption to download data can be found in this FAQ:
https://community.ukbiobank.ac.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/19968768326045-Do-you-ever-allow-an-exemption-that-would-mean-I-could-access-data-via-other-means
With regards to UKB-RAP credits, data compute and storage credits that are currently available to early career and lower-income country researchers will be extended to all researchers who need such support.
Further information regarding financial support will be posted in the FAQs in due course:

Hope you find this information useful.
