How can I download the imaging data (fundus images) locally?
Our research team would like to use the fundus images (using retinal OCT) from the database for model training. We have purchased Tier3 data, but when we go to the bulk folder on the current RAP system, the original fundus image download button is greyed out (unclickable). We have also tried to download the data using the ukbfetch programme but this has not worked either. I would like to ask if this part of the raw image data is still allowed to be downloaded at the moment, and what should be done to download it locally? Thank you!

Dear Zhenzhen Liu,
Thanks for your post.
We recently changed the way UK Biobank data is accessed so that data is now accessed in situ on the UKB-RAP.
Further information can be found in the Announcement and FAQs linked below:

Researchers are now unable to download data to store locally unless an exemption is granted. Further information on how to request an exemption can be found here:

Kind regards,
Matt
Thank you very much for your quick reply! We will submit a request for this part of the data according to your instructions.
