JupyterLab Launch

Hi, I have a couple of questions regarding JupyterLab initialization on the UK Biobank platform:

1. How long does it typically take for JupyterLab to finish initializing and launching?

2. When I check the status of the lab, it shows “launching,” and there’s no link to access it. However, the monitor indicates that it’s already “running,” and charges have started accruing.

3. Is there a way to receive an email notification when JupyterLab is ready to use? I’d prefer not to constantly check the status, as it can take up to 30 minutes, but I only need a few minutes of use once it’s available.

    Hi 

    The time taken to launch JupyterLab will vary depending on the size of the instance launched and the usage at that time. There is currently no email notification alert available.

    If you are only using JupyterLab for short tasks it may be better to submit a non-interactive job (ie Swiss Army Knife) or see if it is possible to launch/assess the data from your local computer using the dx toolkit.
