Accessing VO2 Max
Hello,
I am looking at using VO2 max (30038_i0) within my analyses. However, although I can see this on the showcase, I can't seem to access the variable on the table exporter. Can I check when this will be released?

Hi both,
After being uploaded to Showcase, new data is added into the UKB-RAP by our partners at DNAnexus as a part of a new UKB-RAP Data Release Version. This results in a lag between the UKB-RAP and the number of participants counted on Showcase. For more information about this, please see the following article on the community forum:

Once data included in Showcase becomes available on the UKB-RAP, researchers are notified. For more information about the upcoming data release, please see our Future Releases page. This webpage provides details of some of the upcoming data releases and estimated dates for when these releases will take place.
This particular data should be available imminently on a newly dispensed RAP project.

I am still having trouble accessing V02 Max. I have tried using the cohort browser, bulk data, and searching for various names through the table exporter, but with no luck. This should have come out in the March 2025 update. Can anyone offer any guidance on how to access this: Data-Field 30038.

As you say, field 30038 should have reached the Main UKB-RAP Copy of the data in March 2025. If your UKB-RAP project was initially dispensed before March 2025, then you might need to Refresh your copy of the data. See https://community.ukbiobank.ac.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/26343840019485-How-to-update-dispensed-data.
Field 30038 is tabular data, not bulk data, so it should be visible in the cohort browser. Any bulk fields would say Item Type : Bulk on the Showcase page for the field.
The Showcase page for field 30038 shows that it is in Showcase Category : Assessment centre > Physical measures > ECG during exercise > VO2max during exercise . The cohort browser folder structure is similar to the Showcase Category hierarchy. They are not always identical, but in this case they are.
If your project has already been Refreshed, then you will see two (or more) items of type “Dataset Record”. You will need to select the newest of these for accessing the new data in the cohort browser.
Refreshing your UKB-RAP project should make accessible to you all the data that was newly present in the main UKB-RAP copy in March 2025. It is not entirely clear whether this would also include the second set of olink proteomics data, but it would be worth checking.
