Showcase Update
Hi all,
The data showcase doesn't seem to have been updated since the new data release. Does anyone know when this will happen? It would be very helpful to see where ongoing fields have been updated i.e. blood pressure measurements.

Hi Jay, the UKB Showcase was updated before the UKB-RAP.
Normally, because of the way UKB processes work, the UKB Showcase will be updated a few weeks before the UKB-RAP version. For the latest version (v19) the Showcase was updated in March 2024.
There are a few bulk imaging fields that are updated in Showcase more frequently, and therefore have more participants counted than are actually available in the UKB-RAP.

Did you mean it was updated in March 2025?
On the showcase website it says ‘summary generated 17 October 2024’. Does that just mean the top level categories haven't been updated since then but the relevant data fields have?

No, I definitely didn’t mean March 2025. If there were any updates to UKB Showcase in March 2025, then the data for those updates would definitely not yet be available on the UKB-RAP.
There was a Showcase update in March 2024, and it was expected that there would be a UKB-RAP update to reflect that in Summer 2024, but then the no-download change happened and the Summer 2024 UKB-RAP update was postponed. There was then another small Showcase update in Autumn 2024, but for various reasons the UKB-RAP update to reflect that was postponed until March 2025. So, the latest v19 data available 31 March 2025 includes the Showcase update from March 2024 and also the smaller Showcase update from Autumn 2024.
In any UKB-RAP update, only certain fields will be affected, depending on what new data has become available. See this page for details of most of the v19 updates (but ignore the “March 2025” which I suspect is a typo).

Thank you for clarifying - just got confused since you said a few weeks before and then it was over a year ago. I only started using UKB in November so didn't know it was updated then delayed!
Just for clarity - I know that returns are released on a rolling basis. Is the returns catalogue on the showcase updated on a rolling basis too, or only when the main updates happen?
