Jupyterlab malfunctioning after update

After the most recent update (single instance 2.7.1) I've been getting file save error/server connection errors randomly, which sometimes resolve themselves after 20 minutes, but sometimes don't.  My environment has also been killed once, unprompted.  My dx upload commands will randomly not work, and take four or five retries to finally go through.  Have others been experiencing this as well?
