What do I need to register for access?

You do not need to register until you are ready to submit an application to use UK Biobank data in your research or to be added as a collaborator to a research project.

We require each researcher to register and have an approved registration before an application for data access can be submitted or to be added as a collaborator to an existing project.  

If your institute isn't already approved, we require each new institute to be registered and approved before gaining access to UK Biobank data.

Costs outlined on our website are per application and each application is granted 3 years data access once approved, payment received and Material Transfer Agreement executed.
