When can I start working with data on UKB-RAP?

Once you've completed your mandatory training and have access to the UK Biobank Research Analysis Platform (UKB-RAP), it usually takes up to 24 hours for data to be dispensed to your project workspace.

Your project workspace is a secure area on UKB-RAP where you can access and analyse data, use analysis tools and collaborate with other researchers on your project.

When can I start analysing data?

You can start working with your data as soon as they have been dispensed to your project workspace.

What if another researcher has already dispensed the data?

If another researcher on your approved UK Biobank project has already dispensed the data, they can add you to their existing project workspace. This means you can start working with the data without waiting for them to be dispensed again, provided you have the necessary access.
