How do I delete objects and folders in my UKB-RAP project?

To help decrease your usage costs or organise your UKB-RAP project, you may wish to delete user-generated data from the UKB-RAP. Deleting your generated data is a simple process, and can be done by selecting the object that you wish to remove, before selecting the 'delete' button. Screenshots of these buttons have been provided below to illustrate what this process looks like.

Navigate first to the files you wish to delete:

Select the file you wish to delete, and press the Delete button:

Alternatively, you may wish to remove objects, folders or projects from the command line. Objects and folders can be removed using dx rm. Meanwhile, you can choose to specifically remove folders using dx rmdir, or to remove a project using dx rmproject. For more information about these commands, please see the dx commands index documentation

Who is allowed to delete data from my UKB-RAP project?

As a project admin, you can manage who has permission to delete objects in your project. By default, both contributors and admins can delete data from the UKB-RAP. However, if you want to restrict this ability to admins only, you have the option to do so. Viewers do not have delete access, and this setting cannot be changed.

To see who has delete access within your project, navigate to your project, select settings, and scroll down in your settings menu to check who has permissions on your project. More about project settings are also covered in the Researcher Induction Course 2.
