500K WGS Batch Information
There are 17.5K of 500K, many with WGS, without batch information based on “Data-Field 32053, Shipment batch number”. We observed differences between late batches and early batches, particularly for batch 23 and for those without batch information. Can UK Biobank provide more details on the differences between different batches? Are those sequences without batch information really from the same batch?

Thank you for your question. Library preparation and sequencing of samples for the full cohort spanned a period of more than five years and was performed by two different providers (field 32051), so some variation between processing batches can be expected.
