Why some participants have cancer records in IDC10 while I applied "Cancer diagnosed by doctor | Instance 0" as "No" ?

Hello, I applied "Cancer diagnosed by doctor | Instance 0" field as “No” to make a cohort of non-cancer participants. However, I figured out that remaining participants still of cancer records in ICD10 fileds, such as “Chapter II Neoplasms”. I wonder how could it be possible.

    Hi Dongwoo,

    the field “Cancer diagnosed by doctor | Instance 0” holds data that was provided by each participant when they attended their initial baseline i0 visit to a UKB assessment centre.   See the Notes tab and the Category structure of field 2453 in UKB Showcase.  This would therefore have been correct at the time, between 2006 and 2010, see field 53 for actual visit dates.

    More recent data is received by UKB from the NHS Cancer Registry, see field 40006 and Category 100092 Notes and description and Resources.
